During my first month at UMW I have made many discoveries. One of those was a harrowing discovery of friendship. The transition to college was honestly really hard for me starting off. I’m a very shy person overall when I’m in unfamiliar situations, so talking to new people and making friends was really hard for me. I’m not necessarily a ‘put myself out there’ kind of person. Even talking to my professors one on one was a big leap for me.
